Swellable packers
Inflatable packers

Inflatable packers (Reflex Lite series) is an inflatable packer that is delivered to the Customer as an elastomer sleeve and fastening devices for unuitary setting up on the casing at the drilling site.
Packer elements are fabricated 12 inches (30 cm) and 18 inches (47 cm) long. The packer is intended to set up on API pipes. Other configurations for non-standard pipes are also available.
Packers are carefully tested in various hydrocarbon media at different temperatures in order to confirm declared expansion speed and maximum differential pressure.
Specific Reactive Swellometer PO is used for tests performance
Standard design

Reflex HP swellable packers are the packers set up on a base casing in the shop by means of vulcanization.
The packer is intended to set up on both API pipes and non-standard pipes.
It is fabricated in water-swellable and oil-swellable options. Combined elastomer composition is also available for delivery which is efficiently swells in oil and in water.
Oil-swellable packer swells in various hydrocarbon media including gas condensate.
Packers are carefully tested in various hydrocarbon media at different temperatures in order to confirm declared expansion speed and maximum differential pressure.
Specific Reactive Swellometer PO is used for tests performance.

Disposable and non-disposable packer installation

Scope of application:
- Well testing (straddle test in a drilled well).
- Well workover (isolation of casing leakage, isolation of unnecessary formations.
- Formation bottom-hole treatment. Acid and polymer compositions.
- Wells abandonment and intervals liquidation.
- Plugging and cement plugs setting. Efficient solution for cased boreholes and open hole including irregular configuration of holes.
- Casing packers are used to prevent gas and fluid behind-the-casing flows. Prevents cement loss into formation during last cement job stage.
- In case of limitations in internal drift diameter. The packer is able to cross well sections of smaller diameter and expand up to 3 times relatively to the initial diameter after activation.
Advantages of expanding hydraulic packers:
- Expanded by the fluids through the pipes, coiled tubing or outer expansion line;
- Maximum pressure drop up to 10 000 psi (70 MPa);
- Operating temperature up to 150 degrees;
- Resistant to aggressive medium (H2S, acids);
- Single-packer and multiple-packer systems with various activation systems;
- Adjustable distance between the packers. From 1 to 20 meters.

- Formation testing (formation flow rate, injectability) including bottom-hole equipment application.
- Selective formation treatment including matrix acidizing.
- Performance of multiple-stage hydraulic fracturing of formations.
- Acid fracturing.
- Liquidation of circulation losses by injection of polymer compounds and cement or bentonite mixtures.

The main bottom-hole element during well completion by means of construction is liner hanger.
Set of tools for the hanger and liners cementing (ITsPK)

Is intended for running down on the drilling tools, and lockdown and liners hanging with cementing along all liner interval and liner cementing without cementing of the productive part (collar cementing) and application of the cement collar and collar packer.
Consists of a multipurpose safety-lock disconnector RZU with hydraulic and mechanical (turning along the left hand thread) disconnecting methods, annular packer PM, drill string anchor YaK, set of plugs. For collar cementing the packer is equipped with a collar and collar packer.
Set of tools for non-cemented liners hanging (IPK)

Is intended for the open hole casing complete with a filtering liner for running down on the drilling tool, hanging on the anchor and sealing with the packer. There is an option providing backwash through the shoe and associated running down the washover pipe (tubing), after disconnection washover pipe is pulled out of the hole together with retrievable disconnector part.
Consists of a multipurpose safety-lock disconnector RZU with hydraulic and mechanical (turning along the left hand thread) disconnecting methods, annular packer PM, drill string anchor YaK, set of plugs. The model intended for backwash through the shoe is completed with a sealing unit.
Equipment for selective formation hydraulic fracturing
Hydraulic fracturing is arranged by mixing of corresponding agents into hydraulic fracturing fluid and following injection of the mixture into production area at low consumption under high pressure in order to wedge the rock and generate a crack as a result of hydraulic impact.
Multiple stage hydraulic fracturing of the formation is performed by means of the following equipment:
- anchor sealing device with a locker that is used to inject fracturing unit into formation;
- packer liner hanger ensuring reliable hanging and sealing of liner upper section in the casing;
- circulation HF collars that are activated (opened) with the balls of different diameters. After hydraulic fracturing the balls are drilled through or self-diluted;
- bottom-hole circulation assembly that may be presented as a valve system (lock valve and hydraulically actuated collar) or perforated pipe nipple.
- formations segregation in the well is performed either by swellable of hydraulic packers included in the bottom-hole liner assembly;
- other drilling mountings, including but not limited to the shoe, centralizers etc.

T-FRAC Selective Cased Hole Formation Hydraulic Fracturing System

The process is executed by liner hanger set up in the well and complete liner cement job or in case of casing string operation complete casing cement job with cement yield into the wellhead area, WOC and further formation hydraulic fracturing in a cemented well.
ORIO-S cementing collar is used for these operations. The collar is specifically designed for application in the wells for selective HF with cemented on non-cemented liners.
ORIO-S has some design peculiarities in comparison with other hydraulic collars used for HF. It does not have any movable parts on the outer or inner sides of the case. The collar may be opened by the ball drop and pressure difference provided that the moving part is not the ball with the seat but the inner sleeve resulting in a complete collar opening even with remaining mud.

Advantages of complete cementing for wells construction to perform selective HF are as follows:
- Considerable reduction of well construction;
- Considerable increase of internal well bore;
- Well full-bore along the casing string (to prevent choke restriction)
- Availability to perform all the activities without coiled tubing application;
- Considerable simplicity of wells repair or survey for future operations;
- Reduction of costs for well completion assembly and service support;
- Running the column in the hole and well completion without service specialists support and/or downhole equipment manufacturer involvement;
- No need to perform additional manipulations in the well;
Self-diluted ball
The balls are intended for opening of HF collars. Opening is enabled by the drop of the ball of required diameter and setting it up inside the seat of the corresponding HF collar.
Usually composite balls are used, but recently self-diluted balls are widely spread in the industry. Such balls are diluted in HF fluids, saline solutions, sulphuric acid or in well products.
- The ball is differentiated by strong mechanical properties;
- It is diluted in several days after temperature increase in any type of fluid;
- Balls sizes vary from 0.75” (19 mm) to 4.625” (117.5 mm) and density 1.5 gr/cm3;
- The ball is diluted along the diameter and does not fall into pieces.
